Meet Maggie...

Maggie Gallagher
Any day of the week you may find Proprietor Maggie Gallagher smiling at the door of The Back Porch in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Although a Commercial Real Estate Consultant by trade, Maggie has become the driving force behind this gem of a restaurant on the Connecticut river. Lured from the glamour of Coconut Grove in Miami to develop the former G. Fox Building in Hartford, Maggie immediately set about creating The Gershon Fox Room and Mezzanine, restoring the Art Deco building to it's former glory. There she established Marquee Catering which now plays host to a multitude of social and charity dinners, not to mention glamorous weddings and corporate events. It wasn't long before she and developer Fred Autorino turned their sights on the "Between the Bridges" Marina Complex and it's former restaurant in particular. Bringing the space back to life with it's bright and airy cottage-style decor, the main feature of course is the fabulous porch and it's view of the Connecticut river and the c. 1908 Old Saybrook Railroad Drawbridge beyond.
So do drop by and meet Maggie. She's booked some great summertime entertainment for you and recently added a fabulous game room! I think you'll agree that The Back Porch is just the place to spend a wonderful summer day or night!
